So you’ve just had a flawless spray tan from Bronzed (yay!), so now the goal is to keep that bronzed glow looking fresh for as long as possible.

Whether you're tanned for a beach weekend in Port Macquarie, a wedding in Wauchope, or just because you love the confidence boost, here’s how to stretch that glow and make it last.

Exfoliate Before, Not After

Prepping your skin before your appointment is everything. Exfoliate 24 hours before your tan to remove dead skin cells and create the perfect base. After your tan? No scrubs, loofahs, or rough towels; they are the glow’s worst enemy.

Hydration is the MVP

Moisturising daily (starting 24 hours after your first rinse) is your #1 secret to a long-lasting tan. Go for a gentle, oil-free moisturiser to keep your skin hydrated and your colour locked in.

The First Rinse Matters

We will tell you exactly when to rinse based on your tan depth — trust the timing. When it’s time, stick to a quick lukewarm rinse with no soap. Gently pat dry with a soft towel, no rubbing.

Avoid Long Hot Showers

We get it — winter baths are a vibe. But long hot showers or steamy soaks can fade your tan faster. Keep showers short and sweet to preserve your glow.

Skip Oil-Based Products

Oils (like in body washes, moisturisers or fake tan removers) can break down your tan. Stick to gentle, tan-safe products — ask us for recs if you’re not sure!

No Sweaty Workouts… at First

Give your tan 24–48 hours before hitting the gym or sauna. Excess sweat early on can cause streaks or patchiness. Your tan needs time to develop evenly.

Be Kind to Your Tan

Tight clothes, harsh fabrics, and lots of friction (like from boots or leggings) can rub your tan off faster. Go for loose, breathable outfits and soft PJs — the cuter, the better!
